About Iron ForumsBecause Christian Small Business owners often struggle with feelings of isolation, Iron Forums exists to help them Connect » Sharpen » Grow through a once a month, half day community where they can gather with other like minded business owners to experience truth, transparency, traction, and transformation.
What differentiates you from the competition? Many organizations do 1 or 2 of our three distinctives, but the combination of Connect, Sharpen, Grow sets us apart from them. 1. Relationship Driven (Connect) vs. Content Driven. 2. Our Advisor Ministry and 3. Our Snapshot process.
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?Again, the combination of our 3 distinctives.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?"It's lonely at the top." is a lie from the pit of Hell. "It's as lonely as I allow it to be." is true. We're here to help you escape the gravitational pull of isolation. Now you know. Connect, Sharpen, Grow.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year? The battle between pride and ignorance. Pride is about those who know IF exists but don't believe they need CSG. Can't help them until they're ready. Ignorance is about "I just didn't know this existed."

What is the core mission of your organization? To help Christian small business owners Connect » Sharpen » and Grow.

How do you measure impact and success in your programs? Our members measure their progress monthly based on their personal mission statement and our snapshot process.

What are your biggest fundraising or outreach challenges? Getting the word out that we exist. We’re going from a scrappy startup with 38 members to now over 230 members in just the past 6 years, so we are in fast scaling, high momentum mode right now.

How do you build long-term relationships with donors and supporters? Through our monthly forum meetings.
Through member lunches.
Through one on one meetings with members, donors, and influencers.

What trends are influencing the nonprofit world today? Pastors are actively aware they need to minister to entrepreneurs as a unique subset of their congregations.
Faith forward entrepreneurs are actively aware they have influence and affluence that can be used for kingdom growth.
Both are kicking the floor and failing to ask the other to dance.
We can help pastors avoid reinventing the wheel while magnifying the influence of the entrepreneurs in their churches.

Can you share a story that shows your mission in action? Recently, we had an entrepreneur confronted with the fact that he and his wife “have been talking about establishing a weekly ‘date night’ for 4 years”. Because of several key conversations in our monthly meetings, they have now had 4 dates in the past 4 weeks AND had some crucial conversations with his staff and family about delegation that have allowed him to not only make time for his family, but build more autonomy into his role as company owner that has yielded him more time for family, personal devotional time, and bandwidth for helping out in his local church.

What keeps you motivated in this work? Twin forces: 1) loss of a friend who did NOT have a group to CSG with and 2) the desire to see more Christian business owners grow as a result of this community.
