About National Defense Transportation Association JAX Chapter (NDTA JAX)NDTA offers a collaborative platform for military, commercial industry, and educational stakeholders for community networking. NDTA is dedicated improving deployment readiness, solve defense related logistical challenges, and respond to an ever changing global environment. NDTA is a non-political, non-profit educational organization with top priorities of facilitating strong working relationships in military, commercial, and educational platforms. NDTA is dedicated to providing value to our corporate and individual members and to fostering the next generation of logistical professionals who may serve the broader national security interest through logistical expertise and excellence.
What differentiates you from the competition? As a Nonprofit, we are not in competition with anyone. We are an organization focused on collaboration with fellow nonprofit, commercial, and military organizations dedicated to improving our nation's logistical prowess.
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers? Our top selling product is education. We are consistently dedicated to promoting the alignment between military logistical requirements and industry capability.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?Join NDTA to make a direct impact in the provision of educational opportunities for our future generations in defense transportation and logistics.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Promoting our Maritime Industrial Base Symposium, a one-day conference focused on highlighting the expansive capabilities of North Florida as it relates to Logistics and Maritime Shipbuilding.

What is the core mission of your organization? Create a “trusted” networking environment to facilitate the exchange of ideas
Invest in programs that provide value to our members
Develop the next generation of professionals
Serve broader national security interests

How do you measure impact and success in your programs? Membership growth and scholarship support.

What are your biggest fundraising or outreach challenges? Reaching the vast amount of industry contacts who may not know of NDTA due to being a Nonprofit and having limited funding for Marketing.

How do you build long-term relationships with donors and supporters? Continue to provide value in our Programs at an educational level. Outline, with practicality and simplicity, the needs our industry can meet in order to be an exemplary defense industrial base key component.

What trends are influencing the nonprofit world today? Definitely AI and the speed at which information changes right now. The defense industry must adjust rapidly to changing needs, at the logistical and manufacturing level, as the capabilities required in theatre are advancing rapidly.

Can you share a story that shows your mission in action? Yes, look at any NDTA Conference across our nation and you’ll see the Surface Force Projection Meeting occuring at Christopher Newport University, Newport News, VA in May (18-22), and the NDTA Fall Meeting occurring this year in Grapevine, TX in October. Both are excellent examples of educational and networking opportunities between defense and industry.

What keeps you motivated in this work? For me personally, it is the next generation. Getting information out to our communities regarding the needs of our defense industry can directly impact educational and workforce opportunities for our young men and women who are seeking out purpose and direction in the careers they pursue. The scholarship programs are a direct reflection of NDTA’s dedication to our future workers and leaders.
