How long have you been in your industry?11 Years
Why did you choose your industry? My faith is the most important thing in my life. I have struggled to confidently share my faith with others my entire life, and I know many Christians struggle with the same thing. I do what I do because I am a gifted communicator, motivator, strategist, and writer, and I believe I can make a difference in the lives of individual Christians and local churches.
Who are your typical clients?I have two types of clients: individuals and local churches. Our non-profit ministry serves both with the same passion and urgency, but our methods change depending on the specific interaction. Our strategy for a local church organization looks different than for an individual Christian.
What do you like best about being in this industry? My favorite part of what I do is seeing Christians become more confident and bold in their witness. Oftentimes, they are literally "set free" from fear, guilt, and shame, replacing those feelings with joy, excitement, and urgency.
What are common problems you see?A Barna Research study done in the last couple years revealed that 1% of local church pastors feel confident that they are equipping their people to share their faith. Always Going exists to help churches and pastors create sustainable strategies to equip their congregations.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Sharing what you believe is never going to be easy, but through the eight questions we unpack at Always Going, it can become more natural. Forget everything you know about "evangelism," and rebuild your understanding of what Jesus meant when He said, "Go make disciples of all nations."
When is your busy season?March-April, September-November
What keeps you up at night?Christians are not experiencing life as God intended because they're afraid, ill-equipped, and ashamed to share their faith with others.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?- Social media (IG/FB @alwaysgoingministry) - Conference speaking, breakouts and workshops, local church sermons, podcast appearances, and my book (Always Going: The Joyful Overflow of Everyday Evangelism)
How involved are you in the community?I have impacted over 75 churches in the last couple years with our ministry's message and methods. My goal is to help churches equip their people. By impacting the leadership of each church, Always Going is able to reach thousands of people around Jacksonville, Florida, and the USA.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Sonlife Ministries and Dare 2 Share are two of my favorites
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?- Be ready for a lot of resistance. Evangelism is not a popular topic because the word carries a lot of baggage for many people. - There's nothing quite like seeing someone freed from fear and excited to reach others. It makes it all worth it.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Exercising, playing games with my two kids
