How long have you been in your industry?5
Why did you choose your industry?Because I wanted to blend creativity, strategy, and flexibility into a career that actually fit me. After years of trying to squeeze into roles that didn’t quite match how my brain worked—I realized I wasn’t the problem. The environment was.Marketing and digital strategy gave me a place to use all of my skills: technical know-how, design sense, writing, big-picture thinking, and empathy.
Who are your typical clients?Bloggers (food, lifestyle, coaching), Podcasters, Small Businesses
What do you like best about being in this industry?Being able to blend creativity and strategy is one of the best things I like about what I do.
What are common problems you see?One of the biggest is overwhelm from trying to do all the things. Creators and small business owners are told they need to be on every platform, post daily, write a blog, send a newsletter, track SEO… it’s exhausting. The result? Burnout, inconsistent visibility, and half-finished ideas. Another problem I see is the lack of understanding how repurposing can benefit you.
What advice/tips do you have for clients? You likely already have the content you need, it's about being strategic with it
When is your busy season?throughout the year
What keeps you up at night? What keeps me up is figuring out how to bridge that gap. How can I make strategy simpler? How can I help someone stop spinning their wheels and start building momentum? I think a lot about how to turn messy content into meaningful visibility without burning out the person behind it.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?I focus on building trust by showing up consistently and being helpful—especially on platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and through my newsletter, The Accidental Blogger. My content strategy isn’t just about visibility; it’s about value. I share tips, stories, and systems that help creators and small business owners make sense of their content.
How involved are you in the community?I like to be involved with helping local schools, I'm looking at a way to help give back to schools/teachers at the beginning of the next school year.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?I have a few, one though is The Free Art Foundation. Their mission is to raise awareness for those in need through art, culture, and humanities by offering unique artistic platforms that inspire artists to give back.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Start by getting clear on why you’re doing it. This industry—whether you’re in marketing, digital strategy, or content creation—can be noisy and overwhelming if you’re chasing trends instead of building a business that fits you.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?I'm a big Disney fan so I can frequently be found there. I also love spending time with my family & pets
