How long have you been in your industry?10 + years
Why did you choose your industry?I grew up in the Martial Arts world. I didn't start exploring my love for music until I was about 15 years old. I fell in love with performing and it quickly became my entire life!
Who are your typical clients?I play music full time. I am in a band that tours a few times a year.
What do you like best about being in this industry?I love the community aspect of it. Jacksonville has a great music community.
What are common problems you see?I think as a woman in the industry you see a lot of problems. You have to work twice as hard.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?If you want to be in the music industry, do it. Be your authentic self and follow your dreams.
When is your busy season?Summer and Christmas
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?The music business is so different now with social media. It's all about marketing. I am still figuring that part out. It's tough to put yourself out there and also be genuine and your authentic self without coming off cheesy.
How involved are you in the community?My band is very involved in the community. We play a few benefit shows a year supporting mulitple causes. MS, women's healthcare, Domestic violence etc. We also write songs that bring awareness to those issues as well.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?You won't know until you try. Go for it and follow your dreams. Stay grounded and find your circle of people that support you and are honest with you throughout the journey.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?I love camping and listening to other artists perform!
