Why did you choose your industry?I wanted to develop a consultancy where I could work with clubs and help with issues impacting the employees and operations.
Who are your typical clients?Private clubs: Athletic, Beach, City, Country, Golf, Gun, University and Yacht.
What do you like best about being in this industry?There is always more to learn.
What are common problems you see?Lack of safety awareness and training.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Put two budget lines in each department's chart of accounts: Safety training & development and personal protective equipment.If you don't have safety in the budget, how can you (or the finance committee) cut it?
When is your busy season?Spring and Fall
What keeps you up at night?Too much coffee!
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Phone calls, LinkedIn Posts, articles, public speaking...
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Start to develop your business concept while you still are employed. Develop your logo and stationery. Do some public speaking and write articles
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Spending time outdoors.
