How long have you been in your industry?8
Why did you choose your industry? As a former district level administrator, I had been supporting my direct reports and others under my supervision in a coaching role. I discovered that coaching and training were two of my strengths. Branching out to do it on my own gave me the opportunity to do more of what I loved - not just in school districts but in other organizations as well.
Who are your typical clients? My clients vary from individuals who are seeking visibility, confidence, and greater impact; department/teams who are looking to strengthen their team culture and organizations hire me to work with their employees to build leadership capacity and enhance communication.
What do you like best about being in this industry?I like the variance in the needs of my clients, the flexibility, and the confirmation that I'm doing work that is needed.
What are common problems you see? Some common problems are: clarity regarding services, credibility, processes + automation
When is your busy season? There are ebbs and flows throughout the year.
What keeps you up at night?Ensuring my services are aligning to the needs of my clients.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?I market myself through social media posts across multiple platforms; I attend networking events; and I engage with key local and others outside of the city to remain aligned with priorities.
How involved are you in the community?I volunteer twice a month in schools mentoring a group a girls; I participate in other women's empowerment events; active in my sorority and church.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Fun in Florida Water
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Identify your strengths and align it to a need.
