The Center for Respectful Leadership
What is your approach to helping clients identify and solve key challenges? We have an assessment tool we developed called the ARC Assessment (Actively Respectful Culture) and provide a detailed analysis and recommendations based on the results.
We conduct 1-on-1 interviews and small group focus groups.
We do the research on comparable organizations and what successes they are having in creating ARC’s within their companies.
How do you tailor your coaching or consulting style to different industries? Due to our experience serving many different clients in many different industry verticals, we have a strong coaching team who understand the unique challenges of each industry. Additionally, we use tried-and-tried coaching methodologies that are successful across all industries. AND we take an enterprise-wide approach to coaching: we’re not just their coaching the individual, we’re there in support of overall success.
What are the most common misconceptions about consulting? When it comes to professional development, leadership skills and organizational development, there’s an assumption that only those who’ve worked in the specific industry can help. This is simply not true – there are universal truths and common behaviors that apply to every leader and organization and can be successful regardless of industry type.
How do you measure the success of your client engagements? Typically we look for…
– longstanding repairs to relationships, and decreased complaints about the individuals we’ve coached
– reduced turnover, absenteeism, and work stoppages, and presenteeism.
– Reports and data (from surveys) showing increased morale, productivity, engagement and collaboration.
What trends are influencing the future of consulting and coaching? AI is definitely impacting coaching.
What’s the most rewarding part of your work? Supporting breakthroughs and repairs in relationships; the “ah ha” people get when they realize how important respect is to success.
What skills do you think are essential for future consultants or coaches? The ability to understand and speak the lingo of the client and their organization and industry so that they feel that you “get them.”
