Jacksonville, FL – Foodies Care, a Jacksonville-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing food and home insecurity, held the Building for Good event. Hosted on April 17, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Schell Brothers Nashville Design Studio in Hendersonville, Tenn., the evening brought together local nonprofits, community leaders and residents for an inspiring night of connection and collaboration.
Building for Good marked Foodies Care’s official introduction to the Greater Nashville area. Through a partnership with nationally recognized homebuilder Schell Brothers—recently named Builder of the Year by Pro Builder Magazine—the event offered a platform for 14 nonprofits, including Corrine’s Place of Love, EmpowerMENt, From Your Father, Grace Place, Greater Nashville Technology Council, Habitat for Humanity, Loaves and Fishes, Matthew 25, Miriam’s Promise, Nashville Children’s Alliance, Parker Strong, People Loving Nashville, Tucker’s House and Young Leaders Council.
Guests enjoyed an outstanding lineup of local vendors showcasing Nashville’s culinary scene. Live Fire BBQ, Edley’s Bar-b-que, Cozy Nook Coffee House, Doug and Dolly’s Cookies, Sweet Blessings Treats, Big Machine Distillery, Half Batch Brewery, Crazy Gnome Brewery and Amber Falls Winery served food and drinks throughout the evening. Brian Sexton, hosted the TV show On A Mission: Nashville Edition, and captured interviews and stories that spotlighted the heart behind each organization’s work in the community.
