Why did you choose your industry?The opportunity to help the individuals that make up our community become financially stable, grow, and thrive in our economic state.
Who are your typical clients?People who want to grow their financial stability and/or want to pursue their dreams.
What do you like best about being in this industry?The positive impact. Being in my role specifically I am privy to direct member feedback and growth, as well as identifying opportunities to grow our community with our services and partnerships.
What are common problems you see?Financial literacy, adapting growing technology (FinTech), public image.
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Take advantage of the information made available for you. Take advantage of rates/products that will help grow your finances at your own pace and secure a better future for you and your family.
When is your busy season?All seasons :)
What keeps you up at night?Brainstorming ways/methods/tech on how I can better uncover insights for my member base.
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?With the use of an omnichannel marketing approach. Calculated, methodical, curated to inform existing members and attract new ones.
How involved are you in the community?We are becoming VERY involved in our community. Our team actually just participated in the River Side Arts Market on 6/10/23 and we have also partnered with the Axmen, our local rugby team! We plan to continue to participant in future events with partners like 904 Happy Hour and more.
What is your favorite not for profit or charity?I don't think I have one currently.
What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?I would advise them to jump right in! It's a great industry that holds permanence in our economy and is very accommodating to each individuals knowledge level, time, position, continual education, and growth in the industry. Coming from a large corporation like Home Depot PRO I was pleasantly surprised with how much more intimate this industry is. Each vendor we have worked with knows another, or has worked with someone else our team has worked with over the years and Credit Unions are also required to make their information public so there are no 'hidden terms' or anything kept from the members of the CU.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?I enjoy spending time with my family of 3 (soon to 4) and 3 dogs. I also truly enjoy my side business Crack The Code LLC which is my passion of music. I have been performing around the southeast region for over 12 years now as a solo artist and in many different projects. I also love to create music, art, exercise (CrossFit Total Control), and I also love a good horror movie ever so often :)
