JACKSONVILLE, FL – Foodies Care is rolling out the pins—and rallying the community—to help end homelessness and hunger at Strike Out Homelessness, a family-friendly bowling fundraiser on October 8, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Beach Bowl in Jacksonville Beach.
Foodies Care, a Jacksonville-based nonprofit dedicated to ending home and food insecurity, building human connection and uplifting those in need across Northeast Florida, knows that homelessness and hunger don’t just affect individuals—they impact entire communities. Strike Out Homelessness brings people together for a fun, uplifting afternoon that supports real, local solutions. Whether you’re a seasoned bowler or just in it for the laughs, every roll makes a difference.
All proceeds will go directly to Foodies Care to fund and support community partners working on the front lines of homelessness and food insecurity.
“Every frame we bowl is a step toward a brighter future for our neighbors in need,” said Adrienne Yurisic, Vice President of Foodies Care. “This event shows what’s possible when we come together to support real, local solutions.”
Strike Out Homelessness registration includes three hours of open bowling, shoe rental, light snacks and a chance to network with other community champions. Teams of up to five can register for a flat fee, and single participants are welcome to join a team at check-in. Prizes will be awarded for top scores, best team spirit and most creative bowling uniforms.
Foodies Care is proud to partner with CFM, whose recent Legacy of Leaders event saw over $350,000 in cash and in-kind services granted to nonprofits driving community impact. CFM also provided a $15,000 marketing grant to Hands 4Life, helping that organization further its mission to end generational homelessness through education, support and housing.
