A night of hearty bites, classic brews, and shared purpose in support of local and global nonprofits.

Jacksonville Beach, FL | September 11, 2025 – Foodies Care brought the community together last night at Irish Tap & Table, hosted at Lynch’s Irish Pub, for an unforgettable evening of food, fellowship, and philanthropy. From 4 to 7 PM, guests enjoyed a curated menu of Irish-inspired bites paired with classic brews. Highlights included Scotch eggs with Harp, buffalo cauliflower with Magners cider, Erin’s Egg Rolls with Smithwick’s, and sausage rolls with Guinness. Between the laughter, connection, and clinking pints, the night captured the warmth of Irish hospitality while spotlighting Foodies Care’s mission to support nonprofits fighting hunger and homelessness.

“I am so excited to support Foodies Care and shine a spotlight on the homeless and food deprivation issues surrounding our community,” said Sarah Olson, Owner of Real Estate Agent Success Academy. “Being in the real estate industry, I see firsthand how challenging it is to put a roof over people’s heads. There are great organizations like City Rescue Mission and Sulzbacher Jax that are supplying services for the homeless population.”

Friendraiser events are designed to offer more than a fun evening. They create opportunities to highlight impactful nonprofits and inspire others to give back. This month’s featured charity partners included Micah’s Backpack, which provides weekly food assistance to hundreds of food-insecure children in 10 Blacksburg schools, and 6:8 Ministries, a faith-based organization transforming lives through mission experiences and community programs in Costa Rica.

“At Foodies Care, we believe great food and great community go hand in hand. Supporting programs like Micah’s Backpack allows us to not only offer support, but also raise awareness for the incredible work being done to fight food insecurity among local youth,” said Mike White, Founder of Foodies Care.

“Seeing the impact of Micah’s Backpack firsthand reminds us why our mission matters. It is an honor to contribute our time, talent, and resources to help ensure every child has access to healthy meals and the knowledge that their community cares for them,” added Tom Reber, Board Member of Foodies Care.

Foodies Care also highlighted its partnership with 6:8 Ministries. “Foodies Care is about more than great events. It is about creating opportunities to give back in meaningful ways. Supporting organizations like 6:8 Ministries allows us to connect people through food, fellowship, and philanthropy, while making a real difference in the lives of those we serve,” said Anne Ackerson, President of Foodies Care.

“Partnerships like the one we have with Foodies Care allow us to expand our mission of serving others and sharing God’s love in practical ways. Their support helps shine a light on the work happening in Costa Rica and beyond, reminding us that when communities come together, lives are transformed,” said Spencer Boulter, Founder of 6:8 Ministries.

Through events like Irish Tap & Table, Foodies Care continues to bring people together to spotlight nonprofits focused on feeding the hungry and housing the homeless. By combining great food, great company, and a shared mission, Foodies Care ensures giving back is always a community-centered experience.

Foodies Care also extends heartfelt thanks to the event’s generous sponsors, whose support makes Irish Tap & Table possible: First Coast Collective, Real Estate Agent Success Academy, All Dry Services of SE Jacksonville, Client Focused Media, Merrill Lynch, ABBQ, Driver McAfee Hawthorne Diebenow, Live Oak Contracting, Heritage Capital Group, Synovus Bank, Flagler College, HCA Healthcare, BizBuyPro, City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department, Operation New Hope, and Chartrand Foundation. Their partnership makes a lasting difference in the community.

Foodies Care has a tradition of uniting the local culinary scene with charitable causes, and Irish Tap & Table continues that mission by celebrating culture while giving back. Proceeds from the event will directly support the work of Micha’s Backpack and 6:8 Ministries, ensuring that every shared meal and raised glass contributes to hope and transformation.
