Short company description:
Camping Stick Kids is a non-profit that exists to equip Christian families and leaders to teach children how to explore God’s world, discover God’s love, and journey God’s way. We do this through in person and on-line training and our dynamic resources that keep kids engaged and growing.
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
Personally, my greatest accomplishment is sticking with it through ten years of labor and prayer. I am thankful for the strong faith of our CEO Eldon Babcock-also my dad. Without Him I don’t know if I could have endured the years of small results and little financial return. Our ministry is standing strong because we refused to listen to the voices telling us it wasn’t worth it. My dad says, “one child’s life transformed is worth it.” So, I suppose my greatest accomplishment is fueled by the faith of my father.
What’s The Biggest Challenge you are facing in your business or industry?
Our biggest challenge is our goal to reach a million children for Jesus in the next five years. We are developing pathways and resources and relying on God to open the doors to more opportunities.
How do you see your field evolving in the next 3-5 years
We’ve just sent our first 200 books overseas and are expecting more opportunities to have a global impact for Christ in the hearts of children.
Who in your industry do you see as a trend setter and why
Camping Stick Kids admires Trail Life USA so much that we formed a strategic ministry partnership with them to help rescue America’s boys. I continue to be amazed at their Christ-centered, Boy-focued organization. They are constantly seeking ways to reach more boys by raising up Godly men to lead. Their organization is an inspiration to me.
