Why did you choose your industry?Opportunity knocked. Was starting a private equity company with a group of physician investors. The market went south when the recession hit. I was working closely with one of the primary partners and he offered me the opportunity to work with him, learn the business of healthcare from his perspective and begin building.
Who are your typical clients?Generally small to mid-sized healthcare or health related organizations looking to start-up, grow, or target ops/financial considerations.
What do you like best about being in this industry?The evolving landscape and the breadth of opportunities available to embrace change.
What are common problems you see?Fixed reimbursement models, inflationary operating costs and regulatory burdens handicapping the entrepreneurial physician landscape
What advice/tips do you have for clients?Know your #s. Know your sandbox.
When is your busy season?January - October
How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Primarily word of mouth. Relationships within the finance, healthcare and legal markets. Constantly evaluating synergistic markets/opportunities.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Focus on your key proficiencies and the time/value of your capacities.
