How long have you been in your industry?25 years

Why did you choose your industry?Home repairs are a necessary component of owning a home. It will always be needed even in a slow economy.

Who are your typical clients?Older home owners, young couples and single parents

What do you like best about being in this industry?It’s a very satisfying career and skilled workers are less common, so demand is high for someone that can work with their hands and help solve common issues.

What are common problems you see?Out of sight, out of mind. People forget to look under the sinks or behind appliances… even the perimeter of your home. Water leaks are a common problem that can cost more over time if left unchecked.

What advice/tips do you have for clients?Get a home maintenance inspection 1-4 times per year to cut back on the “out of sight” issues

When is your busy season?January through December is mostly busy with random gaps

What keeps you up at night?How to hire good candidates in order to grow the business

How do you market yourself to grow/expand your business?Limited advertising, social media and word of mouth. We also have to large vans with our logo which gets a fair amount of attention

How involved are you in the community?I help my older customers and neighbors when possible

What is your favorite not for profit or charity?Dreams Come True and Make a Wish

What advice would you give to someone thinking of getting into this business?Communicate and show up… there is a large number of small businesses that can’t do either of those.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?Taking a drive and seeing areas of Florida I haven’t seen
