About Pickleball OdysseyWe are pickleball brand marketers for everything from pickleball clubs, clothing brands, pickleball machines, paddle companies & accessories to amateur and pro level players. We manage social media profiles and/or create video and photo content and websites. We run events and tournaments from small to large scale, running the largest tournament in NE Florida for the past 2 years.
What differentiates you from the competition? We truly care about the pickleball community and give back constantly. I have been in social media marketing for nearly 15 years and am passionate about...I love it. I read social media marketing news, listen to podcasts, and delve into new trends.
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers? Our ability to capture the essence of a player or brand. Each player, club, brand are different and require planning and thinking about what best represents the message they want out in the world.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?There's nobody like us. A married couple partnership who play pickleball, build websites, create content, manage social media, and run tournaments and events...and do it well! I am well-known in Jax, and that itself, often propels a brand.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Keeping up with running a 24 court pickleball facility (The Hub Jax, the largest in NE Florida) while still keeping our Pickleball Odyssey clients and not overwhelming my partner and husband. We receive requests weekly and must choose which to accept

How do you prepare mentally and physically for top performance? I listen to a lot of podcasts. They ignite a creative energy in me and give me coping tips when under pressure.

What’s been the highlight of your athletic career so far? As an athlete, winning a medal in singles in a fairly stacked 7 person bracket against tough competiton.

How do you handle pressure and maintain focus during competition? I don’t do well at handling pressure while competing. It’s a part of the pickleball mental game that I’m working on and have a goal to be back to competing by the time I turn 50 in 2028.

What role does teamwork play in your success? My husband is my best teammate. We have assigned projects based on our skill sets and we help each other out with ideas, editing, proofreading, brainstorming, and more. I am in charge of social media accounts and he is in charge of websites.

How do you stay motivated during tough seasons? Never waiver, just stay the course and the course rights itself. Whether on a court, or in business, you need to be sharpening skills and improving yourself.

What advice do you have for young aspiring athletes? Be a gracious loser. Losing is not as fun as winning, but learn from your losses and get to know your opponents. Ask if they’d like to play sometime…learn and grow and turn those losses into wins in the future.

What’s your perspective on the evolving role of athletes in society? As money comes into play more and more, it takes away the spectator experience. In pickleball, you used to sit right next to the pros when they weren’t on court. You chatted, cheered them on, and go to know them. The PPA started roping off pros and charging a premium fee to get close to them. It has turned into a cash cow instead of player experience.
