About GallantFewGallantFew is a military support organization for active-duty Rangers and families of the 75th Ranger Regiment based out of Fort Benning, Ga., that removes barriers to care by providing programs and services needed to promote their emotional, spiritual, physical, professional, and social health. We provide what the military cannot to improve the holistic health of the Ranger and family unit. True to the Ranger Creed and Abrams Charter, our actions ensure Rangers and their families are prepared to lead the way in their continued service to the Army and their communities.

What differentiates you from the competition?GallantFew is the heart of the Ranger community in the heart of the Ranger community. Being collocated with Rangers and families keeps our finger on the pulse of their needs, allowing GallantFew to provide immediate in-person programs and services.

What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?The Ranger. Our special operations Rangers are four-time volunteers for the Army, Airborne School, Ranger School, and the Ranger Regiment. We are at the tip of the spear of the Nation, serving as the direct action raid force of choice.

If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?The Ranger ROI is best described by Simon Sinek, who said Rangers are unique because of our "culture of accountability." Our Rangers not only excel in combat but are also the future leaders of our Army, Fortune 500 companies, and their communities.

What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?The military nonprofit space must constantly battle the evolving digital marketplace dominated by pay-to-play advertising that reduces the human-interest stories that have driven support for the military and veteran communities.

What is the core mission of your organization?Support active duty Rangers and families at Fort Benning, Ga. The ripple effect of military service is unquestionable; just look at the record-low number of veterans serving in Congress.

How do you measure impact and success in your programs?We are metric-driven. We instituted a needs assessment to drive programs and surveys to measure success. It is an iterative process.

What are your biggest fundraising or outreach challenges?Competition for corporate and foundation dollars with a narrow, defined supported population.

How do you build long-term relationships with donors and supporters?Don’t forget what your parents taught you. Write notes. Stay active in the community.

What trends are influencing the nonprofit world today?Grassroots fundraising is down, and corporate and private funding is on the rise.

Can you share a story that shows your mission in action?A Ranger was having difficulty receiving the care he deserved while leaving the military. By himself, he was getting nowhere with the medical team assigned to his case outside of the Ranger Regiment. GallantFew leveraged our network and partnerships with military support organizations to assist with his medical separation. He and his wife just welcomed their second baby as he continues his Master’s in Business Administration from Boston College.

What keeps you motivated in this work?Community. We are bound by the Ranger Creed for life.
