How are you implementing sustainable building practices? We focus on reducing waste by repairing and upgrading existing gate systems when practical, sourcing durable materials designed for long service life, and using energy-efficient automation systems that minimize maintenance and replacement needs.

What challenges are you facing with labor shortages or supply chains? Like many contractors, we continue to see occasional equipment lead-time fluctuations and rising material costs. We address these challenges by maintaining strong supplier relationships, planning ahead, and offering clients multiple solutions when appropriate.

How do you ensure safety on your job sites? Safety starts with planning. We use appropriate PPE, maintain first aid equipment in our vehicles and trailers, follow manufacturer installation standards, and prioritize safe work practices for our team, customers, and their property.

What role does technology play in your planning and execution? Technology plays a major role in our business, from estimating and project management software to AI-assisted planning, digital documentation, and modern access control systems. It helps us improve efficiency, communication, and the customer experience.

Can you describe a recent project that stood out to you? A recent project that stands out involved designing and installing three custom aluminum privacy gates, including a pedestrian gate and automated driveway entrance. The challenge was creating a seamless appearance across three different openings while working with an existing fence line and a driveway that sloped significantly. We also had to integrate gate automation, access control, and pedestrian access into a single cohesive system. Projects like this are especially rewarding because they require a combination of design, fabrication coordination, problem-solving, and technical expertise to achieve the final result.

What advice would you give to someone entering the construction field? Be humble and learn everything you can. Don’t focus solely on finding your passion—focus on developing skills that provide value to others. As your knowledge and expertise grow, you’ll often find passion and pride in becoming truly good at what you do.
