About Puritan Reformed Presbyterian ChurchFrom https://puritanchurch.com/about/: OUR NAME: In short, we are Puritan in spiritual heritage and earnest, Reformed in theology and doctrine, Presbyterian in government and practice, and a confessional Church in profession and witness. The name ‘Puritan’ is borrowed from the nickname given to Reformed ministers in 17th century England, who sought to purify the visible church from that which was contrary to the Holy Scriptures. We aspire to the Puritans' love for knowing and living God's Word in all of life with our Westminster Shorter Catechism Question & Answer #1 in view: Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever."
What differentiates you from the competition? We hesitate to speak about other churches as competition. However, some things that we highlight are that we are full subscriptionists to the original Westminster Standards, we use the KJV of the Bible, we sing psalms acapella for worship.
What are your top selling services or products that your company offers? This does not apply to our church (I am the pastor, though I do "tent making" work and have a background in public and media relations, marketing communications, and development fundraising mostly for non profit parachurch organizations.
If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?Know and love God through His Word and His people.
What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Growing as a congregation in an environment where less and less are concerned about God, the Bible, the Church, and absolute truth.

How is your ministry engaging with the community today? Besides morning and evening worship services on the Lord’s Day, we also have special events we invite friends and the neighborhood to. We also use social media to share our sermons, and we have done door-to-door outreach, post card campaigns, and radio advertising and programming on the local Salem station (we used to have a program called Man’s Chief End: one person who is in prison became a member through hearing it).

What role does technology play in spreading your message? We do live webcasting of our worship services to SermonAudio, YouTube, Facebook, etc. We use most social media to share other messages and events.

How do you support spiritual growth among your members? Fellowship together with monthly events, shepherding visits by the pastors and more informal visits and support, and teaching and memorization time with our Westminster Standards after evening worship during food and fellowship. I also send e-devotions which we post on our website as Pastor’s Posts.

What challenges are ministries facing in the modern world? A decline in interest in reading, thinking, and studying deeply.

How do you balance tradition with innovation in worship? We continue to be committed to the time tested confessional standards and practices of teaching and worship while making good use of modern technology to share it such as with webcasting and social media.

What initiatives are you leading to serve vulnerable populations? We participate with the San Diego Rescue Mission and the Pregnancy Care Center in San Diego and support them. I also used to work for World Relief Southern California and we were involved.

How can younger generations be more involved in ministry? The deliberate discipleship by their parents in personal and family devotions/worship supported by the elders. And inviting them to regularly be integrated with all generations of the church learning from them and serving with them–especially in diaconate ministry.
