Dr. Suny Caminero, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and the founder of Gynecology Plus and Cosmetic Gynecology Florida. Born in New York City to Dominican parents and raised between the United States and the Dominican Republic, her multicultural upbringing shaped her deep empathy and commitment to serving women from all walks of life. Before becoming a physician, Dr. Caminero worked as an intensive care nurse in Hartford, Connecticut, and in Neuro-Trauma ICUs in Atlanta, Georgia, and Lansing, Michigan. These experiences instilled in her a profound respect for resilience and precision in patient care, ultimately guiding her path into medicine.
Dr. Caminero earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, where she served as a class representative, and completed her residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, where she was elected Chief Resident. While navigating the demands of medical school and residency, she also became a mother of three, an experience that deepened her compassion for women balancing family, career, and personal health. Since 2009, she has delivered thousands of babies and performed advanced gynecologic surgeries, later expanding her expertise into robotic minimally invasive surgery, hormone therapy, and cosmetic gynecology. Her commitment to continued education ensures her patients receive the most advanced, safe, and effective treatments available.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Caminero is the host of the TV show “OB Champions” on Industry Champions TV and Daily News Network, where she highlights leaders and innovations in women’s health. Her mission is rooted in empowering women with knowledge, confidence, and access to solutions that support their overall well-being. Drawing from both her professional expertise and personal journey through challenges such as divorce and healing, she brings a uniquely compassionate approach to care. Through her practices, she focuses on hormone optimization, pelvic health, and aesthetic gynecology, helping women reclaim their health, restore confidence, and thrive at every stage of life.
