Welcome to Living My Faith, a weekly show that celebrates the everyday believers who are walking with Jesus not just on Sundays, but in every area of their lives. From relationships and parenting to health, habits, and home, our guests share how they keep their faith at the center of it all. Hosted in Jacksonville, Florida and supported by Christ-centered partners, Living My Faith is a space where real life meets real faith. Today our host, James Fenimore, spoke with Jen Jones.

Can you share a moment or experience that significantly deepened or shaped your faith journey?
One of the most defining moments in my faith journey came during a season when everything familiar had been stripped away…. my identity, stability, and certainty. I had always believed in God, but in that moment, belief became dependence. I learned that faith wasn’t about having answers or strength… it was about trust, even when I felt broken or unsure. That season taught me that God doesn’t just meet us in victory; He meets us in surrender. My faith shifted from something I held onto to something that held me.
In what ways do you actively live out your faith in your daily life — at work, home, or in your community?
I live out my faith in very practical ways – by how I show up, how I treat people, and how I respond under pressure. At work, that means leading with integrity, advocating for people, and being honest and compassionate, even when it’s inconvenient. At home, it looks like prayer, gratitude, and choosing patience and grace daily. In my community, I live out my faith by serving, mentoring, and creating spaces where ALL people feel seen, supported, and valued. My goal is to reflect Christ not JUST through words, but through consistent, everyday actions. I strive to be the same person in private as I am in public.
What encouragement or scripture has been especially meaningful to you in this season, and why?
Romans 8:28 has carried me through this season: ‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.’ It reminds me that even difficult or unexpected moments are not wasted. God is always at work… shaping, redeeming, and using every part of our story for His purpose.
What advice would you give to someone who’s struggling to live out their faith or looking to grow spiritually?
My advice would be to stop comparing your faith journey to anyone else’s. Growth looks different for everyone. Find rhythms that draw you closer to God…. whether that’s prayer, community, worship, or service, and commit to them. Surround yourself with people who encourage your faith, not tear it down, and remember that progress often comes through perseverance, not quick answers. Keep going. Your biggest breakthrough is just beyond what you’re about to give up on!
