What differentiates you from the competition?We have a twist, or rather, a wave.

What are your top selling services or products that your company offers?Nearly all solid body electric guitars are flat slabs. There are a few ergonomic guitars that are functional, but quite ugly. I chose to incorporate a wave profile into my guitars that make them functional, playable, comfortable and stylish.

If you had one message to get across to future customers, what would it be?In addition to your Gibson and Fender factory-built collection, add a custom one-off guitar built in somebody's garage with foresight, innovation, passion, creativity and skill.

What is the biggest marketing challenge that you will face in the upcoming year?Over two-million electric guitars are sold each year in the US. Of that amount, 70% sell for under $500. In the US, materials/parts alone can cost $500-$1,500 without even adding the hours and hours it takes to build one.

How is your company using automation or robotics in production? I am using CAD, CAM and CNC to build the unique wave bodies.

What steps are you taking to improve efficiency and reduce waste? Adopting LEAN philosophies – limiting and standardizing parts, reducing non-essential knobs and electronics, etc.

How are you dealing with global supply chain and labor challenges? It is difficult to buy US-based components due to pricing.

What innovations are driving change in your manufacturing processes? Let’s be honest, I just want to build a few guitars, give some to kids who can’t afford them and sell the others at a reasonable profit.

How do you ensure product quality and compliance? I do it myself.

What role does sustainability play in your strategy? Tone-wood species are highly regulated in the US.

Where do you see the future of manufacturing heading? Guitars are already being 3D printed, but to date they have been less than stellar.
