Rising Above is an outreach ministry to families living with disabilities. We host events and retreats to meet the unique needs of the disability community. We also provide support through our online community groups and our interactive app.
What Is Your Why (Why Are You In Business)?
The life of my son, Jon Alex. My late husband and I founded Rising Above to encourage other families like ours.
How did you get started in your field or work?
My son, Jon Alex.
What’s one thing we should know that makes your company unique?
We are holistic in that we offer events/resources for each member of the family.
What are your biggest goals in the next 6 to 12 Months for your business?
By the Brook Retreat for moms.
Together Marriage Conference.
Base Camp Weekend for Dads.
Additional Small Group Resources.
Who do you know that is impacted by Autism and how has that impacted you?
My son and many others have changed my life in unimaginable ways. They have taught me how to love well and how to push though when situations are challenging and hard.
